The A1 Dishforth to Leeming Improvement Scheme
As a consequence of a major upgrade to the A1, directions provided by your SatNav or online mapping provider may be incorrect. Until further notice, if travelling south down the A1 exit at the junction with the A61 signposted Ripon & Thirsk, and turn right towards Ripon on the A61, taking the first left at the crossroads sign posted Rainton.
If travelling north up the A1 exit at the junction with the A61 signposted Ripon & Thirsk, and turn left towards Ripon on the A61, taking the first left at the crossroads sign posted Rainton.
In either case, the left turn merges onto Shambles Lane which takes you across the flyover and down on to Sleights Lane leading to Rainton.
